The Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory

In this beautiful conservatory, you’ll of course see plenty of colorful butterflies that call it home, as well as over 20 exotic bird species, including flamingos. This magical environment is home to 50 to 60 different species of butterflies from all over the world. Not only do you get to witness the beauty of the birds and butterflies, but there’s also plenty of opportunities to learn about the butterfly anatomy, physiology, life cycle, feeding, and migration of the one and only Monarch butterfly. Be sure to bring a camera, because the entire conservatory is a great photo op!

 

Though the butterflies are one of the biggest reasons to visit the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory, there’s so much more – walk past flowing waterfalls, blooming flowers, and trees that all add to your breathtaking experience at the conservatory.
